Here's a gripping story of the Old West in the style of Louis L'Amour. Really enjoyed the characterization of Sheriff Grant and the Arizona Ranger who helps him track down the deranged killer. Lots of authentic detail about weaponry and the geography of central Arizona, and suspense as the main characters have to deal with blizzard conditions, the menace of a roaming band of Apaches, and the final encounter with the escapee from Yuma Prison. Excellent story about the trials and tribulations of the old west. Tillman is an excellent author and I would buy his books on the strength of his creativity.
